Character Information
ABOUT the crown princess of Ylisse, a halidom in the continent of the same name. her bloodline has been chosen by Naga to protect the kingdom and wield the Falchion — except her country starts to fall to ruins at the hands of the Fell Dragon before she can do anything about it. her best efforts at trying to save her world ultimately fail; in a last ditch effort, she and her friends travel back in time in order to try and stop the apocalypse before it begins, knowing that they will not be able to return to their time regardless of whether or not they succeed. then the events of fire emblem: awakening happen!

she's resilient, stubborn enough to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. despite all the loss she has experienced, she's every part the kind, loyal, good leader that she's always wanted to be when she was young — to her detriment. she's lived a life defined by the duty to her people, and the weight of it manifests through self-sacrifice to the extreme. as long as it's just her hands that get dirty, as long as everyone else is happy, as long as her people are safe, etc.

or, the much more fun way to look at this: she's really good at being a jrpg protagonist, but that's all she's good at. outside of saving the world or fighting for her life, she's kind of a fucking loser. her taste in fashion is atrocious, she's horrifically gullible as long as you can tie it back to the cause™, has absolutely no hobbies to speak of, and she's a daddy's girl. awful.

VISUAL full body. she spent a good number of years masquerading as a man, so it's implied that her features tend to be pretty androgynous; either way, she's got a sword fighter's build through and through. she'll carry herself as properly as the situation allows — back straight, chin up, the works — and tries to be well-kept whenever she has the opportunity to stay that way. her posture is probably stupid good.

noteable: she's very, very rarely seen without her falchion at her side.

AURAL voiced by lucina bailey. her voice is on a lower register at speaking volume, and she makes every effort to speak evenly and calmly whenever she can. she's pretty good at it too! her vocabulary tends to be pretty formal, and uses very little filler words (unless she's been caught off guard). that said she's definitely more of a listener than a talker in social situations! she's confident and attentive, she's just of the opinion that she isn't the wittiest conversation partner.

BEHAVIORAL every part the knightly princess you find in storybooks! earnestness practically bleeds from her every moment of the day. kind, if reserved. patient at the cost of taking everything a little too seriously. she probably didn't get your joke but will laugh at the weirdest shit you've heard.

there are a few exceptions to this: in battle ( severe and decisive ), when she's angry ( rash and pushy ), or when she's gushing about something ( enthusiastic and chatty ). these tend to be few and far between, though.
Skills & Abilities
JUST? A GUY?as far as Fire Emblem's concerned, she's just a regular person ... mostly. there are animated scenes of her jumping high into the air without a running start, or falling from the sky and landing safely, and mentions of her destroying wooden dummies when training. so!! probably sturdier than your average human, but still very much a human. the only thing that makes her "special" is the fact that she's chosen by Naga ( a dragon? god? ) which allows her to wield the Falchion & gives her a mark on her left eye, which your character is more than welcome to pick up on!

otherwise she's got a lot of knowledge in military tactics, surviving in apocalyptic conditions, and leading armies in battle — all appropriate for her time period, of course!

SWORD FIGHTERshe's a speedy fighter who evades rather than blocks ( luck is her highest stat, which most notably decides hit & evade ). she's good at it, too; it's established that she & her friends have fought through armies multiple times their size, and she herself has gone toe-to-toe — and beaten! — many well-known, powerful fighters. she purposely throws matches against her father ( who she considers to be the best swordsman she knows ) just so that she can keep spending time with him. embarrassing.

for the sake of completion, here's a list of Lucina's abilities at recruitment. i find them to be overkill, so i'm perfectly content summarizing all of this as: she's an encouraging ally, and an accomplished fighter.
Dual Strike - grants 10% bonus of a Dual Strike occurring in battle.
dual strike is a mechanic that allows for an adjacent/paired unit to follow up with an attack of their own when Lucina is in battle.
Charm - grants a 10% accuracy and avoid bonus to allies within 3 spaces.
Aether - grants two consecutive hits - one Sol and one Luna.
Sol heals her for half the damage done to the enemy, and Luna halves the enemy's defense at the time of the hit.

SCHRODINGER'S MOTHERthings get a little more complicated when the identity of her mother gets involved ( she can has 6 potential mothers, depending on player choice ); her stat distribution shifts, and across all her potential mothers she's capable of reclassing into just about every eligible class in the game, which means she's capable of using any weapon ( and heal staffs ). but! the overall themes of her stats stay the same, and within major story cut scenes she only ever has her Falchion.

so i'll translate this as: she has working knowledge of using other medieval weapons, can take care of and travel on horses/wyverns/pegasi, and has an affinity for magic — but not enough to do something with a lot of work in-game. she'll always be the most proficient with a sword, then lance, and everything else is a "if push comes to shove" sort of deal.
