[ Good mornoon Lucina, it is your favorite aunt furiously thought-mashing her thought-keyboard in excitement over the most recent of her revelations. ]
I was shopping for clothes for the new place we're going to soon and I found a dress in one of the stores that would look amazing on you! You HAVE to try it on, please pretty please??
[ They've had like two conversations since their Fateful Encounter™ aboard Red Scream but they're bffs now, it's fine. ]
I'm in front of this place called RA-MEN MACHO, I don't really get what it means but they have some sort of soup with noodles in it that's pretty good. I've never tasted anything like it back in Ylisse.
[ What kind of noodles even exist in Ylisse, I don't know. Anyway. ]
But it's right next to the dress shop. I can come get you if you don't know where it is.
[ Pretending she was in the area or something, shopping for her own stuff??? Basically Lucina doesn't take very long before she's by RA-MEN MACHO, and she spots her favorite aunt here ( only aunt here. Whatever. It's not like Lissa knows ).
Which means — cue a smile, and a nod, the moment their eyes meet. ]
I believe Odinson is a god — I spoke to him briefly before the creation of Hathaway, many months ago. [ As for the other question— ]
... I'll miss him, but he was needed elsewhere. [ Such is the life of the team. ] He was not the first to leave us, nor will he be the last. [ Which is the most diplomatic answer she can give. ]
[ Don't call her out?? ( Absolutely call her out. )
Either way, the response takes a few minutes for her to form. Is there something she wants to do? Aside from returning to the training rooms, keeping her routine up ( she wouldn't allow herself to do anything else, anyway ). Eventually— ]
... I suppose so. [ Being alone means being held by her thoughts. She's not keen on doing that tonight. ] Did you have something in mind?
[When he sees Lucina next, Asher is very aware that it is for the last time, and that breaks his already weary heart.
He has been sobbing, nose runny and eyes red, for a solid ten minutes at least. But when he catches sight of her he gets up from wherever he is sitting and runs in her direction, not stopping once until he has enveloped her in one of his signature warm embraces.]
[ At some point, she's gotten accustomed to these visits from Asher — sudden, out of the blue, eager to share whatever new piece of information that's floated his way. Whether it's some cool trick he's learned, or the details of their new mission. The point is that more often times than not, they're sudden — unannounced, but welcome all the same.
This one's different, though.
His expression sets the worst of the alarm bells for her — her eyebrows immediately furrowing as her jaw tenses, easily wrapping her arms around his waist before she can really think about it. ] Asher—
[ She doesn't let go ( it doesn't seem like she should ), but ... her posture doesn't relax. ] What's wrong? Is everything alright?
[He doesn't want to leave just yet although he knows he should.
A year and a half is too long to be away from school what with finals just around the corner. Asher hardly remembers anything from his classes anymore and he's two years older than he was, and yet he will return and no time will have passed. Will his body have changed? He will remember everything that happened and everyone he met but won't be able to tell a soul. Even his friends from home are from different points in time, making it very likely that they will never see him as more than a pompous asshole.]
She pauses, for a moment. Maybe a second more, if he allows for it. Just to hold him close. Because Asher, while far from the first goodbye she's had to experience, isn't one she wasn't ever ready for ( but then, maybe she wasn't ready for any of them at all ). She squeezes her arms around him for a moment, before returning to a looser hold. Just because she — because he's shown that she can.
But she holds her ground. Tears are unbecoming for a time like this. ] That's good news, then. [ For him to return. She's not distancing herself away from him just yet, just ... speaking the facts. ] What troubles you?

Is the blue hair a genetic thing? Does everyone in your family sport it, or is it a recessive gene?
no subject
Er — my father, and my father's father had blue hair. As does my brother. [ ... ] My aunts, and my cousin, however, are blond.
Does this answer your question? [ She has no idea what genetics is she's just kind of guessing ]
no subject
(And Veronica is the one who would think it's gross.)]
I assume your aunts and cousin don't share any genes with your parents? They're all maternal side?
no subject
[ I can't believe my first thread in the second season of futurology is trying to explain anime hair to a character. ]
no subject
[It's literally a pointless conversation.]
But that's ... fascinating. If I knew anything else about genetics, I'd probably theorize.
But. Well.
I don't.

If my calculations are correct, the Snow Moon has waxed, and soon will wane back in my world, which signals the coming of my fourteenth year of life.
Now is hardly the time to celebrate, but I hope you will join me for more proper festivities come our return to the Hathaway ship.
no subject
Congratulations in advance, Sieglinde. I'm honored to be able to celebrate with you.

Last time's "pizza party" was a most delicious theme. I hope it can be matched.

That does sound rather delicious. Were you hoping to have a theme for this as well?
