Ah, yes. I believe a very kind man has been putting up flyers all over the city. I've never heard of entire locations appearing and disappearing, it sounds rather wondrous.
... I've also heard it's much cooler out there. Perhaps a visit is in order.
[ She says 'wondrous', he says 'suspicious'. But he's not going to pop her nice bubble so quickly. ]
It certainly is impressive, isn't it? The laborers in Fontaine are hard-working but even they can't get whole locations to appear overnight. Are you interested in going? Don't have any work you'd be missing?
[ Oh. Guess who has literally never had a job in her life, thus not realizing that this is something she had to think about. But fortunately...! ]
We were told to return in a few days time, once the temperatures drop for safer working conditions. Now that you mention it, there may be no better time than the present. How about yourself? Will you be making plans to visit?
I'd certainly like to. It seems like an interesting place to visit, and the more we learn about this place the better. How's that car of yours holding up, by the way?
Oh. [ Right. About that. ] I got a flat tire on the way into the city... Though I was fortunate enough to receive some help in replacing it. Since then, it has been functioning without issue. I hope your bike has been serving you well.
Greetings. This is Arlecchino. Wriothesley informed me that you wanted your phone number passed on to me. He also mentioned volunteering my services to you in the event of his incapacitation.
[ She went five whole minutes without needing to be even partially responsible for a child... Lucina isn't really a child anymore, but. She's close enough in age to Arlecchino's children that the association is inescapable. ]
Oh. I suppose you're right. Fortunately, I'm happy to report that my car has not seen any further troubles since our meeting. I hope you have been well?
Indeed I have. I like to think I'm fairly adaptable. I've even found myself with a surplus of free time. I don't suppose you have any hobbies you might recommend?
My hobbies were not so extraordinary, as I had little time to spend on them. On occasion, I might visit the opera house and catch the newest production. My homeland placed great emphasis on theatre and performance. In fact, two of my children are performers themselves. Stage magicians, and by all metrics doing rather well for themselves.
I did hear there was some kind of theater in the Pavilion... though I cannot speak to what kind of shows they perform. [ This is because they're films and not shows, but she'll learn that eventually. ] But ah, did you have the opportunity to watch your children's performances as well? Back at home, I mean.
He was very upset about being here. I think he was having a nervous breakdown. He grabbed my face and then called me a liar, and fell over after trying to punch me. I felt very sorry for him.
I'm not sure. I'll see if I can find him. It's funny because most people I've met here handled it well and didn't seem upset. It's the first person I've met who seems really overwhelmed. Which if you think about it, it's probably the more reasonable response!
Oh, you're not certain, you needn't trouble yourself.
Though... perhaps you're right. Despite the absurdity of the situation, most seem to accept the news rather calmly. How did you react when you first arrived?
I was worried, because I had somewhere important to be. I wasn't scared of being here, and I was excited to get a motorcycle. But I'm used to weird and intense things happening. The man was so freaked out. He asked me some strange questions.
[ They may no longer be part of the "sleeps in their car" crew, but Furiosa makes sure to find Lucina before Christmas. The real, practical gift is that Furiosa checks the air pressure in Lucina's tire and patches a thin spot that's likely to become a hole sooner or later.
But is that really a gift if Furiosa would've done that anyway? So, she also gives her a small, purple bear just for the heck of it. ]
[ She would have made every attempt to compensate Furiosa for the repair — but regardless of how that goes, the purple bear is now a permanent fixture in the interior of her car, sitting on top of the dash and keeping her company on the longer drives! ]
finally crawls my way in here
It's Wriothesley.
Still hanging in there okay?

Kind of hard when the cooling equipment where I'm staying is broken.
[ it's called an air conditioner. anyway. ]
Did you hear the news about the new diffusion zone outside of town?
